Privacy Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

Parchly collects no data. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting, and it never sends your documents anywhere.

Your files

Parchly reads and writes only the Markdown files and folders you open or explicitly grant access to. Everything stays on your Mac (or wherever you keep those files, such as iCloud Drive).

Settings

Preferences such as theme, text size and the folders you've allowed are stored locally in the app's macOS sandbox container.

Network

Parchly makes no network requests. The preview uses Apple's WebKit, which is why the app declares a network entitlement. Remote images in your own documents may load when you open the preview, just as they would in any Markdown viewer.
